Advanced Dental Technology in Halifax

At Purdy's Wharf Dental Group, we are equipped with the latest dental technology in Halifax. Our team uses the most advanced technology and equipment found within our profession. To book your appointment for a routine check-up in Downtown Halifax, call us today.

Digital X-rays

Our office is equipped with digital X-rays that provide superior diagnostics and drastically reduce exposure when compared to traditional X-rays.

iTero Scanner

The iTero scanner takes highly accurate 3D digital scans of your teeth to help us create the ideal products for your treatment. This means that for many procedures, we can avoid using the goopy, gaggy materials used in traditional impressions. We use these scans for treatments such as Invisalign® and most prosthetic work.

Digital Photography & Mouth Cameras

We routinely take close-up pictures of the inside of your mouth and teeth with a digital camera and/or a mouth camera. Reviewing the “zoomed-in” versions of these pictures allows us to see more than what’s possible during a regular check-up, giving us yet another tool to provide the best treatment options for you.

DIAGNOdent is an advanced laser diagnostic device that allows us to detect tooth decay at its earliest stage, allowing us to preserve and protect more tooth structure.

Safe, Environmentally-Conscious Dentistry

While we ensure the highest quality of sterilization techniques available, we also try to maintain a healthy balance between the use of disposable versus non-disposable equipment and products in our clinic.
